    My Specialties

I specialize in helping individuals; adults and teenagers. Through years of experience, I am confident that no problem is too great to overcome.

    • struggle with depression
    • experience anxiety
    • are affected by PTSD
    • have lived through trauma (and all of us did in one way or another)
    • have questions and/or concerns about their sex life
    • are finding that their gender identity or sexual orientation do not fit the expectations around them
    • are going through a change in their life
    • want to work through their childhood trauma
    • are grieving (a loved one, a pet, a job, a relationship…)

Some of the things I do include:

    • ofer person-centered environment where you are safe, accepted, and taken care of
    • teaching you self-compassion so that you have the way to handle just about anything
    • use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques (ACT)
    • find Cognitive-Behavioral exercises that will work for YOU.
    • use Lifespan Integration to take care of the hurting child within you
    • see how your experiences from the past are impacting your current relationships
    • couch you through the change you want to make
    • introduce you to your healthiest, happiest, most fulfilled self.

Why would you bother spending your resources on "talking to someone"?

Most of us go through their life by the rules that have been programmed in us in early childhood. Some of them are good; they keep us alive and usually make us into appropriate members of society. We make decisions every day based on those rules, without ever questioning them (we often don’t even know they still get a vote). Problem is; goals of an infant, toddler, a preschooler, or even a teenager, are different from goals of an adult. As an adult, young or older, you have many more choices. You have different needs. Your dependence on others looks very differently. The dynamic in your relationships changed.

Therapy is a vulnerable experience. Yet, it is the way for you to gain true control of your life.

    About Aleksandra

Therapy is my passion. Guiding, witnessing, and supporting a fellow human on their journey to self-discovery, self-acceptance, growth, and self-love, is the biggest honor I could ever hope to experience. This journey takes courage and strength, but is also accompanied by laughter, joy, and relieve.

In 2015 I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, USA. During my studies I took interest in adults and teenagers struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, sex addiction, and more. I studied treatments developed specifically for military members, their families, and veterans.

After graduation I moved to Utah and worked with clients in individual and group therapy at different levels of care (weekly sessions or day treatment). I was especially effective working with clients healing from severe childhood trauma, batteling sex addiction, struggle in their relationships, or going through one of life’s transition.

Currently, I am living in Japan, near the USA Air Force Base in Fussa, Tokyo,

I am happy to provide individual therapy to clients located in Utah via telehealth and in person sessions to fellow English speakers here, in Japan.
